From CDNA:-
We are pleased to say the fixtures for our Return to Play round robin are now live!! They are on our website now for you all
(https://cdna.net.au/domestic-fixtures/)
We had quite a few teams not wishing to take part in this round robin, so the fixtures have been carefully created to allow for adequate sections to still be in place but also for no byes to occur either. Many sections therefore have only 4 teams, but with no finals, the focus can remain purely on enjoying being together out on court. The 17/5 section is the only one to unfortunately have a bye, due to an odd number of teams, we are very sorry.
** Please find below important information that needs to be abided by and passed on **
COVID Protocols
Spectators
Duncan MacKinnon Reserve netball courts has a capacity limit of 500 people. Therefore, we will only be allowed to admit 1 parent / guardian / spectator maximum per person to attend. If anybody else would like to watch, they are welcome to watch freely from behind the fence in either the car park or the soccer oval. Please pass this information on.
Checking In
Checking in is mandatory for every adult and child who attends the courts. QR codes will be placed at every entrance and other court areas and CDNA COVID Safety Marshalls will be checking to see confirmation of checking in, so please have phones available to display upon request. The QR Code is attached.
Match Balls
CDNA will be providing match balls for all games
Uniforms
For this 5 week round robin only, uniform regulations have been eased. Players may wear whatever they are comfortable in, with a few limits to take note of:
Bibs
CDNA will not be loaning bibs to teams, due to COVID protocols
Council Works
Council have commenced some works upstairs in the pavilion and have subsequently discovered some structural damage thought to be due to the earthquake and high winds. This has meant a specific area is currently considered unsafe and has therefore unfortunately resulted in some unavoidable but temporary changes for our competition management. We are told these are only supposed to last for 2 weeks but are still very important to take note of.
ATHLETICS COMPETITION
Please note that Athletics are having a large meet for the next few weeks as well, meaning car parking will be tougher than usual, so please ensure you leave enough time!
Lastly, we are all so grateful to be able to get outside and back on court again and hope that this round robin is played within that spirit by everyone. Please be mindful that players haven’t played, umpires haven’t umpired, supervisors haven’t supervised and coaches haven’t coached, all for nearly 4 months, so make sure players warm up properly to avoid any injuries and please be patient, kind and positive to everyone around.
INVOICES
We will soon be invoicing all clubs / independent teams for all games they are fixtured for. Payment is of course welcome at any time but is not due until the completion of the final round. The Association remains flexible if teams are not able to compete due to a snap lockdown of a local school etc, and will do everything possible to avoid forfeits or walkovers, not penalising teams financially or on the scoreboard and taking each individual instance on a case by case basis.
Look forward to seeing you all out there!
Kind regards,
Penny Forrest
