The Social Netball Club

St Anthony’s is a non-denominational netball club that focuses on girls and boys playing with their old friends or making new friends on the netball court. Our players are not graded and put into different teams from year to year. Our teams are formed in U11 and they stay together as they progress through the different age groups.

Of course, people leave and join the teams but we find that a core group of players stay within the team all the way up to Open Division!

Our Teams compete in the Caulfield and District Netball Association. Under 11’s compete on Friday evenings and Under 13’s, 15’s, 17’s & Open compete Saturday mornings. All games are held at the Duncan MacKinnon Netball Courts (Cnr. Murrumbeena & North Roads, Murrumbeena). Our primary aim is that the girls and boys really enjoy their netball and have consistency within a social group. We encourage our players to develop their netball skills and all teams up to U17 have regular training with appointed coaches.

We are not officially affiliated with St Anthony’s School Glenhuntly, although we do have a close relationship with the school. Our players come from all areas of Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Ormond, McKinnon, East Malvern and Elsternwick

- EVERY COACH EVER -

Congratulations to our teams on qualifying to play in this Saturday's Grand Final! What a great achievement to just get into the Grand Final, we know it's taken a lot of work to get there. Our Grand Finalists this season include U13 Comets, U17 Hurricanes and U17 Supernovas (who will play off against each other) and Open Meteors. Enjoy the experience and well done to the rest of the teams for a fantastic Spring Season...

We extend our congratulations to the following teams playing in the Spring 2022 Semi-Finals:- Comets (U13-6), Thunderbolts (U13-7), Hurricanes (U17-5), Supernovas (U17-5) (which means one will knock the other out unfortunately), Meteors (Open-3) & Sapphires (Open-4). Well done to all the teams for a wonderful season. Good luck to those playing semi-finals and hopefully you'll have some good news for us at Presentation Day later the afternoon of the Semi-Finals...

As the major charity partner of Netball Australia, the Confident Girls Foundation has this year partnered with Woolworths NetSetGO and My Little Pony to welcome back their Give for a Goal fundraising campaign. Between now and 6 November the Give for a Goal - Make Your Mark campaign is aiming to raise $25,000 to help empower vulnerable Australian girls to make their mark. We have set up a Team Page for members to donate to. Set a number of goals to shoot between now and the 4th November and get sponsors or donate directly to our team page. All funds go directly to the Confident Girls Foundation and support grassroots organisations that develop and implement programs aimed at creating more opportunities for girls going through adversity...

Our end of year function will happen Saturday 19th November from 4pm. Presentation of medals and individual Coaches Awards followed by Pizzas and fun! Hope you can make it - please RSVP for catering purposes

We have been granted a Token Jar at Grill'd Chadstone for the month of October so if you're heading to Chaddy for a spot of shopping and feeling peckish, don't forget to pop your token in the St Anthony's jar to help us earn either $100, $200 or $300 for the most tokens for the month.
