Spring Season Scenarios from CDNA

Spring Season Scenarios from CDNA

CDNA would like to confirm a few further details, and ask that you relay this information to your members directly rather than CDNA doing so. With so much information to disseminate, we thought it best for this information to come via the clubs.

Given that at this stage there is still great uncertainty regarding when community sport can recommence, the following scenarios are proposed:
Spring season goes ahead commencing 17th/18th July

Spring season is cancelled in its entirety

Spring season goes ahead but is limited

 OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION –

VNA (Netball Victoria Memberships)

As mentioned previously, the CEO of Netball Victoria released a statement 17/4 to all Victorian members confirming that they are not providing refunds of the Netball Victoria Membership (VNA) at this stage. Your members need to know that all of those payments went directly to Netball Victoria, not to CDNA.  I have attached that correspondence below again for you to share with everyone.

Individual players withdrawing

If members elect not to participate in the Spring season, and this does not impact team registration numbers, Clubs would be required to make refunds to those members.

Teams withdrawing

If an entire team withdrew from the Spring competition, then CDNA would issue a refund of the season entry fees to the club. The clubs would be required to manage individual player refunds from their end.

Member hardship

At this point in time, if any players approach clubs with hardship requests, we ask that the club manage these requests. We are hopeful that most members will be holding onto the hope that we will have a Spring season, and that these requests will be limited.

Financial / refund enquiries

We would like to ensure that all members are instructed to contact their club directly if they have any refund queries.

Known dates

At this point in time,

CDNA are keeping abreast of all updates and many other Victorian netball Associations are adopting the same or a similar stance that CDNA are. We, like everyone else, are extremely keen to have some netball played this year and are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that if and when it does, we will come back with a bang and make the most of being outside together again.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding and support through these very challenging and unchartered times.

We hope you all remain well and safe at home.

 Kind regards,

Penny Forrest
Netball Operations Manager
