WDNA Thursday Night Social Competition

Wdna Thursday Night Social Competition

From WDNA:-

Dear Clubs

After another challenging year for netball it is great to get back into netball and getting players on court again! I am not sure what other associations are doing with returning for the end of the year, but I wanted to share some new competition information with you in case any of your teams are interested.

Waverley District Netball Association is running a couple of social competitions for teams to get back on court and get in a little bit extra netball for 2021 (teams don't need to be part of our Association, our usual Saturday comp is running for them).

6-week Thursday night social competition

Starting Thursday 11th November, we are running a 6-week competition for teams of all ages and abilities. This competition is just for a bit of fun and to get players back on court.

Games will be an hour long with the first game beginning at 5:30pm and the final game beginning at 8:00pm (we do allow time requests if needed).

Male players are welcome to play in this competition at all ages following standard mixed rules, please just indicate on your entry if you have any male players.

3-week Tuesday night 13/u round robins

For three weeks (beginning next Tuesday) we are running round robin tournament style netball games for 11/u and 13/u teams. Teams can enter into all three weeks, or just one, whatever suits them best.

Games will begin at 5:30pm and will be finished by 8:10pm. This is a fun way for the younger teams to get back into netball and get a couple of games in.

There are no restrictions to males playing in this competition.

Both of these competitions are open to any teams who wish to play, no need to have any connection to WDNA already. The teams don't need to be established teams, players can get together with friends and make a new team for these competitions. Uniforms can be anything they like, we will not be strict on uniforms.

Please feel free to delete this email if you aren't interested, or pass on to any teams/players who may be interested in playing. If your local association are running their own competitions, please ignore this email, we are not looking to take away from any other association, just offering out to ensure everyone has a chance to get back on the netball court this year.

If you have any questions, please let me know

Kind Regards

Mel Norton | Secretary | Waverley District Netball Association
