This Friday (30th August) sees a rather large athletics meet throughout the evening. So please ensure you leave plenty of time to find a
parking spot
Speaking of parking, we are finding people are increasingly choosing to park in places that are not legal parking spots and
are therefore creating traffic jams, angst and even dangerous situations. Council will be coming out and issuing tickets to people parked
incorrectly in the drop off zone, disabled spots, on the traffic island and especially those blocking the ambulance access gate near court
5.
CDNA has asked to pass on the important message to all spectators to please ensure they are standing on the side of the courts and not at
the ends where the umpires are running. This is dangerous for everyone. We have the white lines painted so spectators can see where
they’re safe to stand and support and the players and umpires are safe to run too.
The scoresheets have been fairly well filled out lately – thank you very much. But just a reminder that, in line with the by-laws,
players can only play two games up with another team above them before the 3rd game ensures they’re
stuck with that team permanently!
Just another reminder about the CDNA Rep trials too (flyer downloadable - click image). They are particularly keen for players in, the older
age groups to try out. They would like to boost their numbers for the 17’s and Open teams even more!
